Correctly Handling the Word

There is nothing that God has written that we can not read or understand (2 Corinthians1:13). In order to handle the word of God correctly, we must present ourselves as a workman. One reason why there are so many interpretations is because people do not follow Yehovah’s instructions about correctly handling the Word. Correctly handling leads to a life that grows in knowledge and maturity. Incorrect handling can leads to false teaching, deception and ultimately destruction. Yehovah reveals himself to His people and His word can be understood. Two requirements for understanding Yehovah’s word are having the Holy Spirit and we must seek the truth. Finally we are not to go beyond what is written! God’s word is the ultimate source of truth and we are to stay in the boundaries of His word. Going outside of Gods word with our imagination and man’s teachings will lead to false teaching, deception and ultimately destruction.

The Right Foundation

It didn't take me too long after sharing the word of truth and interacting with people that I spotted the main issue. A large percent, almost 80 percent of people seem to go wrong by incorrectly handling the word. Somewhere along the line someone has went beyond what is written, created their own story, added to Gods word or violated one of God's guidelines to correctly handling the Word. If the foundation is not built, then there will be major problems from there on out. This course helps build the right foundation for correctly handling the word of truth.
